Care Guide: Pilling
What's The Cause of Pilling?
Pilling tends to occur due to the friction of different or harsh materials rubbing against each other in the wash or drying machine. Pilling can be caused by other different materials in the cycle such as zippers, hooks, buttons, velcro, and clothes of heavier material (e.g. jeans).Pilling on clothes is something that can not be prevented as it can happen over time depending on the materials or what's been included during the washing or drying cycle that can cause pilling sooner or later.
Pilling may also occur outside of washing or drying as personal use can also be a factor depending if used for activities, work, and environmental elements.
Pilling Solution/Prevention
To remove pilling we suggest pill removers, fabric shavers, and de-pilling combs that can be used to remove pilling and lint. To prevent pilling from happening sooner we would highly suggest washing clothes of the same material together, having clothes inside out, and having fastened zippers, hooks, buttons, and velcro to prevent rubbing onto other clothes. For information about our return policy click here.

Care Guide: Down Jackets
To prolong the life of your beloved down jacket, we suggest making a habit of airing your outerwear piece, using a damp cloth to wipe away dirt and occasionally spraying it with fabric freshener. In general, down outerwear does not need to be washed so often as frequent washing causes the down to lose its fluffiness. Please follow the care instructions below for our Ultra Light Down and Down outerwear types, as well as check the item’s care label for further wash and care.

Wash
Prepare water with a neutral detergent in the wash tub, and gently wash it with water. Then rinse with clean water 2-3 times to ensure no detergent remains. If detergent remains on the fabric, it may cause stains or changes in texture. For heavily soiled areas such as the neck and cuffs, use a sponge or cloth with detergent to gently tap it (spot cleaning). Avoid using a domestic washing machine or dryer as there is a risk of damage when using a conventional machine due to the characteristics of the product.Dry
Drip dry completely in the shade. If using the dryer method, turn the item inside out and tumble dry at a low temperature. Add 3 or more clean tennis balls to the tumble dryer and let the cycle run until your jacket has completely dried. Pause to shake the jacket occasionally, as you want the down to spread equally throughout. The jacket is ready to wear when it's completely dry and has a fresh smell.General Care
Down jackets don't need to be washed too often since frequent washing makes the down lose its fluffiness. Instead, make a habit of airing your down jacket and occasionally spraying it with fabric freshener. If feathers are coming out, do not pull it out forcibly and return it from the back to the inside. If you pull it out forcibly, the hole will become larger and the down will easily blow out.
Please note: The care method differs depending on the product. If the care label states "Not washable at home,” the product cannot be washed at home. Please seek assistance from a professional cleaner who is familiar with handling feather products.

Do not wring as it may damage the garment and degrade the garment quality.
Dry
Wrap the garment in a towel to remove excess moisture. Drip dry completely in the shade or dry on a low heat setting for a short time at a dry cleaning store. If water remains, it may cause odor, so be sure to dry it thoroughly before storing in the shade.General Care
Rub and stretch the down to regain its loft. If feathers are coming out, do not pull it out forcibly and return it from the back to the inside. If you pull it out forcibly, the hole will become larger and the down will easily blow out. Wash
Step 1: Make sure to read the washing instructions on the clothing label. Hand wash, Do not dry clean.
Step 2: Prepare detergent by filling a bowl or sink with water. Mix an appropriate amount of laundry detergent.
*We recommend using warm water if there are visible stains on the collar or elsewhere.
Step 3: Pretreat the product if there are visible stains. Pretreat before washing.
Lather some detergent on a sponge or other absorbent material and gently blot the stains to not damage the fabric.
*Depending on the type of stains and how long the stains have been there, you might not be able to completely remove the stains. If you are unable to remove the stains, we recommend using a professional cleaning service.
Step 4: Lightly fold the item so that the collar and cuffs, which tend to stain the easiest are on top.
Submerge the folded item in the water. Gently press down on the item 20-30 times without squeezing the padding. By pressing down in a vertical motion, you can prevent the padding from bunching up.Rinse
Step 5: After washing rinse the item. Rinse using cold water only. Press gently to avoid squeezing the padding, and rinse until you have completely removed the detergent. Do not squeeze or twist, as this can damage the padding and fabric.
*Any remaining detergent in the fabric could cause stains or discoloration, so keep replacing the water and rinsing until there are no more soap bubbles in the water.Spin
Step 6: After rinsing, place the item in an appropriately sized net and spin it in your washing machine for a short amount of time until it is no longer dripping water.
*If you are not sure how to set up your washing machine's spin cycle, read the manual that came with your washing machine.Dry
Step 7: Dry in shade. When drying, use a thick hanger so the item retains its shape. Refluff the item and hang it in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
* Drying in an ill-ventilated room could cause dampness and mold growth.Reshape
Step 8: Some PUFFTECH outerwear can lose their shape when washed. Before the item completely dries return it to its original shape by massaging the padding with your hands and spreading out the padding evenly.Re-dry in shade
Step 9: Dry the item once again in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Wait until the item has completely dried.General Care
How to adjust the padding: Some PUFFTECH outerwear has designs in which the padding might bunch or clump after washing. If this happens, adjust the padding by thumping or massaging the affected areas until the padding is evenly spread out.How to re-fluff your item: Hold your item by the edges of the cuffs and shake gently to let air in until it is fluffy again.
Please note: This item contains zero down, however, it functions similarly to our ULD products and serves as an alternative to our down outerwear. The care method differs depending on the product. Please follow the instructions on the item care label.

Care Guide: Silk
The best way to care for your favorite silk garments is to hand wash them.
Use a detergent made for delicate fabrics and wash in cold water.
Unfortunately, some silk garments must be dry cleaned, but not all.
Steaming is preferred over ironing; an iron might leave scorch marks on the fabric. -
Care Guide: Jeans
Jeans are a unique garment as they increase in value over time.
A pair of well-worn jeans are a dream to own.Denim should be washed infrequently; ideally, you can go months without washing your jeans.
Instead, air them as often as you can, and spray with fabric freshener if they've caught unwanted smells.
And if you need to clean them, wash your jeans inside out on a gentle spin cycle in and in cold water.
Use a detergent specially made for denim. Never tumble dry; instead, hang them up or lay them flat.HOW TO REPAIR

Care Guide: Fluffy Fleece
To care for UNIQLO’s fluffy fleece, be careful not to use excessive heat or friction during the washing and cleaning process as it will melt the tiny fibers and cause matting. Be sure to occasionally comb through the fleece’s nap using a clothing brush should the fabric become flatten.

Care Guide: Cotton
Cotton garments are not as sensitive as, for example, silk.
Due to the fiber structure, it can be tumble-dried, ironed, and steamed.
Refresh your cotton garments after wearing them by steaming and spraying with fabric freshener if needed. This way, you will prolong the time between washes.
Use a detergent made for colored clothes and a separate detergent for white clothes. -

To prolong the life of your beloved knit sweaters, we suggest keeping a fabric shaver handy and to refrain from hanging your knits as it will stretch and distort the fabric.
